Wellington Tramway Museum 60 Years 1965-2025 is a history of the Wellington Tramway Museum. The Museum was formally opened on 19th December 1965 and has recently celebrated sixty years of continuous operation at Queen Elizabeth Park.
During this time members have progressively developed a functioning tramway consisting of restored and operational Wellington City tramcars, complemented with an extensive infrastructure allowing a 2-kilometre tramline.
The Museum is now a recognised destination and is one of the major Heritage destinations on the Kapiti Coast preserving examples of vintage public transport.
