How will the Museum project be funded?
Some financial support has been canvassed from central government, and from the Christchurch City Council – who have invested in Ferrymead Park’s heritage projects to date. The Museum venture has been enthusiastically received by the Canterbury Community Trust, the Mainland Foundation, and several other charitable entities.
- In the Private Sector, a tiered level of sponsorship is available to both small businesses or larger corporations, giving significant fulfillment to sponsors by way of enhanced visibility, advertising, use of facilities and naming rights.
- Companies who donate between $1000 to $5000 of materials, expertise, or services, will be acknowledged by listing them as ‘Business Friends’ on an honors board inside the completed Museum. Interested organisations and service providers are invited to contact us.
- Community Service Groups are approached to help, in addition to the many railway associated groups and supporters throughout New Zealand and beyond.
We gratefully acknowledge the generous founding donation given by Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, Canada.
We value our supporters and commit to work in partnership with them for mutual benefit.
Monetary donations are always acceptable for Museum purposes, and as the Museum has a Charitable status, your donations are tax deductible.
Bequests to the museum may be registered with your solicitors, please ask us for the form for that purpose.
