Some time back the turntable was completed but the legal aspects were not attended to. Thanks to diligent work by our Secretary, a Code of Compliance has now been issued by the Christchurch City Council.
This means that we can now apply to NZTA (the Rail Regulators) for approval to use our track and turntable for the first time.
Stage One is therefore now formally and legally complete!
As a result of some hard work by our Chairman Bruce Shalders we have been granted $10,000 by the Christchurch City Council to “Re-Stage the NRM Building”, the intention being to divide the building into more manageable and affordable portions for construction. more “Grant Approved by Christchurch City Council”
